Drew's on the River

4333 River Road, Riverside
513-451-1157 or www.drewsontheriver.com

The sun sparkles on the Ohio River as the Anderson Ferry shuttles people back and forth across the water.

Only a few minutes from downtown, Drew's on the River in Riverside is a far cry from the screech of taxi horns and workers going to and from offices. Instead, visitors can chill with a fruity drink or cold beer at the outdoor tiki bar or chow down on an Anchor Cheeseburger and work on a tan at one of the many tables on the large outdoor patio (with a tent umbrella and some individual ones for those fair-skinned patrons), which is open seasonally.

Drew's has quite a selection of food, ranging from appetizers such as Saratoga chips, nachos, homemade chili and potato rags (waffle fries loaded with ranch dressing and topped with melted cheese and bacon) to salads, sandwiches and the popular wings and wraps.

To make your vacation by the river even more enjoyable, Drew's offers select appetizers at half price, $1.50 draft beers and $2.50 domestic bottles during happy hour, 3 to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday.

This river escape has daily lunch specials throughout the week, making it a great place to grab some grub during a reprieve from the daily grind at work.

To make your night out more than just eating, toss a few rounds of cornhole or dance to the live music every Friday and Saturday, or enjoy a DJ and karaoke on Thursday.

Hours: Opens at 3 p.m. Monday-Tuesday and at noon Wednesday-Sunday. Closing time varies.
